    You can always contact Ross Video Technical Support to confirm the latest version and set a time to upgrade if necessary.

    Well as you can see in the post I was to contact Tech Support and I did, but no they never did get back to me. I have asked how to get this latest version and NO SUPPORT on getting it. It's not even on the Inception Downloads. So contacting Tech Support and this Forum does not seem to work. And again, no one fro tech support has contacted me on this.

Tech Support has attempted to contact you, but they have not been able to reach you. Perhaps the contact information they have is incorrect.     No they have not contact me and yes they do have my correct info as I keep getting the auto reply in my e-mail "We will reply to it by the end of the next business day." But they dont.

    Sorry for the delay, and my apologies for technical support not getting back to you. Please reach out to me directly, ssnider@rossvideo.com, and we can get you up to date as to the latest release of Inception Social. For your reference, the current release is v8.0.8.

    As customers require a valid maintenance contract in order to upgrade the software to the latest release, we handle our updates through technical support and do not publish it on these forums. If you are out of maintenance, you will be limited to upgrading to the latest released version at the time of your maintenance expiry.

    Yes, it did take a long time to be told that I could not download the current release and then Tech Support had to do that. I did contact Tech Support back in October, but no one got back to me until I contacted my vendor and asked if he could get someone from Tech Support to contact me.

    I was just upgraded this past Tuesday December 2nd with Alikhan Manji. He had to install it many time and kept getting the Upgrade Error:

    ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "BUNDLE_pkey" Detail:

    Key ("ID)=(32) already exists.


    He said he has not ever seen this error and had to hangup and call a developer on the issue. They don't know what the issue is and that we should just start using it and let Tech Support know if we have any problems. He also said that they are going to bench test our install and see if they can get the same error.

    Hey John,

    I'll follow up with tech support and try and figure out where the disconnect occurred. Please accept my apologies.

    The issue you've found was due to a small bug in one of our module registration database tables in your previous version. When attempting the upgrade, after the database was fully migrated, the new software attempted to add an additional row to the table using the wrong primary key. This is easily resolved by removing that table during the upgrade, which will automatically be re-built the next time the software starts. This defect has been corrected in the software, and our technical support team has been trained to resolve this issue more clearly in future.

    In your case, the proper procedure was followed for the upgrade to address the issue, and you should be fine going forward.
