Convert the operating system to UEFI.

Convert MBR to GPT partition style (offline)
- Open Settings.
- Click Update & Security.
- Click Recovery.
- In the Advanced startup section, click Restart now.
- Click Troubleshoot.
- Click Advanced options.
- Click Command Prompt.
- If applicable, select your administrator account and sign in.
- Type the following command to validate the requirements of the drive and press Enter:
mbr2gpt /validate
The mbr2gpt.exe is located in the System32 folder inside the Windows folder. If you want to see all the available options, use the mbr2gpt /? command. - Type the following command to convert the drive from MBR to GPT and press Enter:
mbr2gpt /convert - Click Close.
- Click Turn off your PC.
After you complete the steps, the tool will validate the drive and create an EFI system partition (ESP). The process will also insert the UEFI boot files and GPT components into the partition. The tool will update the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) and the previous drive letter will be added to the drive.
Configure the BIOS settings.
Switch BIOS Boot to UEFI
- \Boot\CSM
- \Boot\Secure Boot
Enable TPM
- Advanced\CH-FW Configruation\PTT Configuration
- Save and reboot.
Configure Windows setup
- Boot into Windows.
- Install and run the PC-HealthCheck app to verify the machine is ready for Windows 11.
https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-11#pchealthcheck - Insert a USB stick into the machine that has had Windows 11 copied to it.
- Navigate to the USB and run setup.exe.
- Click Accept for the Microsoft License Agreement.
- Click Install.
When the install is finished, the machine will automatically restart and boot into Windows 11.

Configure BIOS Settings (Enable TPM)
- \Security\TPM 2.0 Security
- Ensure that the TPM On check box is enabled (this is the default setting).
Configure Windows Setup
- Boot into Windows.
- Install and run the PC-HealthCheck app to verify the machine is ready for Windows 11:
