- Remove the 20 small phillips screws on the top cover plate
- Lift straight up on the top cover. Note that it may be stuck down due to the heat transfer adhesive between the top cover and the heatsink.
- Thoroughly clean out both FPGA heatsinks and blower style fans with compressed air, ensuring not to allow fans to free spin.
- Ensure the duct between the fan and the heatsink is not clogged either.
- Ensure the CPU blower fan and duct is clean as well.
- Place top lid straight down back in place on to the chassis, applying light pressure over the heat sinks to ensure the pads begin to re-adhere to the heatsinks.
- Reinstall all 20 screws snug but ensuring not to over-tighten or strip the threads.
