Upgrade Steps:
1. Open System Status
2. On the Network tab, select Change
3. Enable the Updates & Support option.
When ready to upgrade, navigate to System Status > Upload > Browse (select .bin file) > Finish > Wait for upgrade to complete. Do not reboot yet.
- If you have any HDX boards, upload the HDX file now.
- If you have any IP boards, upload the IP file now.
- If you have any IPX boards, upload the IPX file now.
- If you have any MODX boards, upload the MODX file now.
- You may now upload the frame file.
Once all files have been successfully applied, power cycle the system using the associated UltriPower unit(s) or unplugging the AC cables from the power supplies if using brick style power supplies.
Note do NOT unplug the small DC cables between power supply and Ultrix.
Post upgrade steps:
Due to the changes to the database in version 6, the Legacy database will need to be imported and the IO will need to be refreshed.
Reload Database
- Open Ultrix - Database - Database manager
- Select Legacy database
- Select Import on the database desired.
Please note - only one database can be imported at a time. This step will need to be repeated for each database you wish to import. - Press Apply
- Press Apply on Legacy database warning
- Select imported database and press activate
Refresh IO
- Open Ultrix - Database - Configuration - Routing devices
- Click the refresh button under the status tab
